Homemade wedding and bridal shower ideas?

I'm usually a creative person. For baby showers I've made diaper cakes, wreaths, diaper babies, etc. but I have no symptom what I could make as a wedding gift and another seperate gift for the bridal shower??? Any ideas of homemade gifts?

Use your theme of the diaper cake and make a cake out of towels, hand towels, and wash clothes. I think that will be a attractive gift for the shower. As a wedding gift you can make a photo album with their new name on the front. If you can get your hand on a photo of the bride and groom you can create the first verso for them saying something like a new beginning. You can then write them a nice note to leave in the first page saying that you will send them all the whopping photos that you took at the wedding. I know I would like something like this, lol. Well, good luck!
  • Make a honeymoon permanence kit! This includes everything you can think of! Start with extra toothbrushes incase they forget theirs. snacks, condoms, magazines for the airport/stratum ride, a mini Kama Sutra book, sunscreen, tote bag, flip flops, chewing gum, etc etc etc! That would build a wonderful gift for either the shower or the wedding. That's at least a start! Good Luck!
  • my cousin bought a shadow box portrait frame and placed my wedding invite in it. she then "decorated" the invite by folding thin strips of paper into different shapes (it's an verifiable craft, but i don't know what it's called). it is absolutely beautiful!!
  • I have a business with my daughter and we do just that, make largesse for showers, birthdays, etc. We just started putting our items in some of the hospital gift shops. This is our website www.fairygiftmothers.com On it you will only see indulge items right now, it is getting a facelift and our other items aren't available to view just yet. Soon you will be masterful to order online. Here is something you could attempt on your own. A towel cake. If you have a color scheme for the kitchen or bath the field are endless. We have made small ones and extreme towel cakes that resemble a real wedding cake with fountains, stairs, lights, and pillars. We took rinse towels and kitchen towels the bride wanted on her registry. To that we included a dinning room table stuff the clergy with placemats, napkins (cloth) napkin rings, and used various bath accessories like soaps, puffs, arometherapy candles. We made one frugal cake and one larger one and connected them with stairs. Under the stairs was a fountain (one-time-use). Quite elaborate. The whole bridal party jagged in for that one! It was a great centerpiece at the shower! Not to mention she had a kitchen, dinning room, and bath gift. Have fun! And Good Coincidence!
  • You can do the shower cake. For a wedding gift, how about a beautiful handmade stained glass window?
  • Here are two of my favorite largesse from my wedding. The first was a recipe box with a recipe from every female from my past who meant something to me. From my kindergarten teacher to my mother, every girl in my life had a card in there with a recipe and a note on it. I treasure that box and its contents. The other was from my best friend. She took a cooler and packed it with everything Iwould need for a trip to the beach (we were moving to Florida). Rubbermaid salt and pepper shakers, a subtle hand made table cloth and napkins, plates she painted herself, glasses she also painted and of course a bottle of my favorite champagne. I still use that basket whenever we go to the beack or objective to the park. I hope this helps.
  • i have no idea, i guess make a little jewlery box shaped parallel a cake or something. thats all i got bridal wreath bush photo
