i have a toshiba laptop, i use convertx to burn dvd, burn is successful on program but nothing burnt on the cd?

i use convertx to burn dvds and it burns perfectly fine and it says the handling has been succesful but nothing is actually burnt on the cd in the drive, which are verbatim dvd+r 16x cds... i am stuck and dont know where the prob is future from? if the drive can read dvds then it is working fine and windows said the drivers are currently the most updated and due to use at the moment... so why is it not burning the data on the cd?

The CD and DVD use different lasers, the CD laser dialect mayhap dirty or damaged, buy a CD/DVD cleaner and run that then you will see if it is working burn dvd on toshiba dvr4su
