I actual in Lake Charles, LA and there is a good chance that we may have to evacuate because of Hurricane Gustav. If there is a mandatory evacuation, what should we do with our pets? I have two cats and a hamster. Thank in advance!

you should have a carrier for each of your animals. i conjecture if you dont have time to buy carriers, you could use a box for each of them. try to cut some slits so they can see out. make sure the cats have collars with their name/address/phone edition tags and rabies tags on them. pack a first aid kit for them: -any meds they need -food in a tupperware container -some litter for the cats sublime luck! i hope the hurricane doesnt hit too hard, and that you dont have to evacuate.

Take them with you, I'm in S.C., I have a cat and dog they have their own evacuation kits, the cat has a hard cover crate, litter, workable bags, a small box to use as a litter box, I'll put the plastic bags over and add the litter, his food and meds. My dog has a hard create, crazy pads, her food and meds. I have vet records for both just in case I need them. I also have a larger create for the dog, just in-eventuality I can't let her out at all. I have a plan for any motel or hotel and I'm sure they'd let me in with them. I'd leave photos or clothes before I'd leave them.
